What is the name of your state? ALABAMA

My father died on June 6 with no real estate or vehicle. The only thing left behind were clothes, pictures, and $1480.00 in a bank account in which I am POD. I closed the bank account as the beneficiary. I am receiving letters from creditors that want much more than anything my dad left behind. He came to live with us from another state two months ago. What should I do to satisfy the creditors or keep them from trying to colllect on my personal assets???????????? -- dixieusa:confused:

You are not personally responsible. Send them a copy of the death certificate and tell them there is no estate.
