I am forth semester Mtech in production and industrial engineering student at MA College of engineering Kothamangalam,Ernakulam,Kerala,India,affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi university,Kerala.Due to shoulder pain(spondulosis) I was not able to write the fourth exam of second semester examination (MPIE 204-Supply chain management)which was conducted on November 2007.This supplementary exam is on 14-11-2008 and the fourth semester exam(Evaluation of masters research project and course viva)is on 28-11-2008.But the university is not willing to send the fourth semester exam hall ticket. They are saying that I am not able to attend the fourth semester exam without a passing result of the previous three semesters .I passed the first and third semester with first class and also passed the second semester exam instead of that one paper (MPIE-204).I gave a representation to Vice chancellor, Registar for getting a special permission to attending the fourth semester project and course viva. But i knew that they are not willing to do that. As per the university scheme, the passing requirement and provisioned mentioned are.
1) A candidate who qualifies for the award of Mtech. degree having pass all the four semesters at the first attempt within six consecutive semesters after the commencement of his study and secures a GPA of 8 and above considering all the four semesters, will be declared to have passed Mtech in first class with distinction.
2) Evaluation of industrial training/masters project work will be taken up only after the student completes the entire core subjects as well as elective subjects requirements. However the candidates are eligible to appear for the Masters comprehensive viva (MPIE402) only after the successful completion of the first three semesters of the master’s programme.

First and second semester contain theory papers, third semester have an industrial engineering (MPIE-301), Fourth sem contain research project (mpie-401) and comprehensive viva(MPIE-402).
My case is a genuine reason as a human right because I could not write on exam due to shoulder pain. So please give me an advice for attending the fourth exam, otherwise I will lose one year. Please say that can i get first class with distinction if i got a GPA of 8 and above.
