What is the name of your state? Indiana
My son wanted to move in with his older brother in a different school dist. but when i went to register him in school they told me since i didnt live in the dist i couldnt do that with out paying there tuition rate of $5000 a year. Or giving up total custody of my son (I had heard of the trem Educational guardianship but didnt know what it was ) any way the school dist said they had never heard of any such thing and checked with there legal councle to make sure, well they said NO INDIANA doesnt have any such thing.
can anyone tell me if Indiana does have any thing like this and if so can i do it myself or do i have to hire an attorney, what all is involved with this just what rights will i have to give up to do it.
Thank You

Some states have these kinds of guardianships but I do not know about your state.

Check with your own lawyer. Do not depend on what the school's lawyer tells you.
