What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oregon
I have about $120,000 in student loans. I have $25,000 of it as federal student loans. I haven't been able to complete my education due to my health. My husband didn't co-sign on any of the loans and his name is no where on the federal loan. Is he going to get stuck with making the payments? Or, will they just come in my name? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

120k in student loans and you haven't finished your education yet.:eek: Please tell me this is Ivy League!!!

eta...Oregon is not a community property stat;this is your debt. However, you will want to consult a tax professional when it comes to filing your taxes if you file jointly.

Unfortunately it isn't Ivy League. It is a community college. I have gone through two back surgeries while in school and a third one is coming up.

Thank you. That makes me feel less stressed. I was worried that it was going to go on to my husbands shoulders.
