My child attends private parochial school and I pay tuition for my child to receive an education. Unfortunately my child along with the majority of the other classmates have not recieved the proper education for their grade level. The students are lacking in the current grade levels in mathematics and English. These are two major core subjects. I not only pay tuition, but also pay for private tutoring so my child can be brought up to the current grade level. This is not an issue of the students not able to learn, they have not been taught the material. Is there possible legal action that can be taken?

private school

i have had children in both parachiol school and public school and children with IEP's. you have to weigh is your child getting a good education? are they prepared for high school or college? our school can be weaker in math however compared to the public school they are higher. to move into private high school some students need tutoring if math is a area of weakness. now with your school there is not alot you can do. you can discuss this with the principal to try to make changes in the areas of weaknesses bring numbers to discuss this and the schools' standardized testing scores. you can call the archdiosis(if catholic) to discuss this with the superintendant. but it comes down to if they cannot provide the education for your child you should consider moving your child to another school. if a large number of parents do this or threaten to do this and mean it the school might work on their weaknesses.
