What is the name of your state? INDIANA

I attend a residential high school program for gifted and talented students. It is a two year program for juniors and seniors. There is a policy at the school that all students must have someone to serve as a legal guardian. This legal guardian gives permission to the school to let certain people, whose names are placed on a form, sign out the student for the weekend.
I recently turned eighteen and moved out of my house. I no longer wish to have my mother serve as my legal guardian. But I cannot serve as my own despite the fact I am of age.
What is the best course of action for changing my educational guardianship? Is there any way I can legally be my own guardian at a private residential school?
If someone could reply as soon as possible, it would be greatly appreciated. The sooner I can resolve this pertinant issue, the better.

As an adult you have the right to enter into and be responsible for all contracts and agreements. So, why are you not knocking on the administration door and informing them that, as an adult, you will not be changing your educational guardianship notification paperwork.

You're an adult now. You don't need permission.
