What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? convicted and imprisoned in PA, transferred my parole to NC.

I've only been out of prison three weeks. I'm doing everything they tell me to do, have a good rapport with my PO, etc. He stopped by for a curfew check tonight and said his boss wants to put me on electronic monitoring for 90 days. I didn't really get a chance to ask him any questions. I'm wondering will the bracelet just be to make sure I'm in by curfew and stay home? Or will I have to get permission every time I leave the property? If that's the case, can they legally impose what's effectively house arrest on me when I haven't committed even any technical violations?

You will need to ask your parole officer what your restrictions are but, yes, house arrest can be imposed even if you haven't committed any technical violations.

As a side note, I know of a young man who was arrested, charged and convicted of theft. He was put on electronic monitoring and had to remain in his home. He called for pizza delivery and robbed the delivery man. The police had no problem finding him. :)
