When does wire-tapping by a law enforcement organization become a violation of an individual's Constitutional rights? How can an individual determine if he has been subjected to this type of surveillance?

when you do something illegal and they take you to jail. then they will run a tape over and you will see exactly what they know about you. you will be suprised. and as for you constitutional rights. if they have cause for suspiction they have the right to investigate. so if you are doing something illegal be careful....

I have never done anything illegal. This is a case of an assumption of guilt, because of an association with a co-worker that was caught stealing. I work for a government agency that has a law enforcement branch. The managers where I work abuse heir access to law enforcement capabilities to delve into the personal lives of subordinate employees.
