kansas. i got 4 different emails from a company saying i was the 2,500 dollar winner and one saying i "finally won 50k" but its really just away to get me to click on the link and enter into more sweeps. how can they legally do this?

Who told you it was legal? Don't click on the link and don't believe it if you get an e-mail/letter/text/note attached to a carrier pigeon...etc....etc...that if you just send 5 thousand dollars for them to get the treasure out of the bank they will send you 10 mil for your efforts.


It's all a scam ...but you can report it to the FBI if you want...

There are laws that can hold scammers responsible for their actions but nothing can prevent a scammer from scamming (except perhaps good morals and a conscience).

they dont try to get money out of me its a trick to answer survey questions and enter into more sweepstakes but can i sue them for falsely stating in three of these emails that i was already the winner?

No. You can't sue the sender of the emails. You have no damages (unless you fell for the scam).

You CAN, however, file a complaint. To go along with Just Blue's advice, here is a link to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center:

I suggest you block the sender.
