i live in new jersey. i emailed the official website of a rock band for information about a free gift they were offering to subscribers of their newsletter. i received a reply from a person with whom i do not get along; we exchanged several emails and he began getting very sexually explicit with me. do i have any legal recourse in pursuing a lawsuit against him and/or the rock band? he claims not to be a paid representative of the band but he does a lot of work for them and I would consider him a representative of the band. this person lives in california.

Harrassing Emails

Why is this not considered harrassment? You didn't explain to me why I have no recourse. I'd appreciate your insight. Thanks.
