Scam. Notice the only real direct mention of your item are what's in parentheses? He probably has some automated system that fills in the blanks with the item and price.

What real person is going to say, "HP
iPAQ 1945 Pocket PC, less-than-5 oz, bluetooth and SDIO slot, 3.5'' TFT
LCD. Plays music and videos. 2 Extra cases included. One metal, one
cloth. $290" in a normal e-mail, then say they want it for the best price and mention a higher price?

"Hi, I'm interested in your iPAQ 1945 Pocket PC for my son." That sounds normal, like a real person behind it.

Unless the guy wants it shipped overseas or is claiming to be overseas, this is one of the best-phrased scams I have seen. Very little in the way of error. UPS and DHL will both pick up from a residential address in a window of time.

In general, if you have any doubts if something is a scam or not, treat it like it is unless you are willing to lose the particular item and the money for it and possible fraud charges when the bank discovers the money order you deposited is fake. Err on the side of caution in this modern age of scams, cheats, and fraud in general.

oh the reason he said it like that is cause I wrote it exactly like that in the ad, since there was a character limit. he just copy pasted it.

anymore info would help
thanks

Trust me, it's scam. Why spend time writing out the e-mail only to copy and paste one thing? Doesn't make sense. So don't deal with this guy.

But if you're convinced I'm wrong, go ahead and sell to him and reemmber my caution when you're stuck dealing with the aftermath.
