What is the name of your state? Colorado.
Our 16 year old daughter wishes to be emancipated. We can't get along and things are escalating. She's our fourth child, the youngest, we are at our wits end. We can't discipline her at all. She goes into rages. What are the steps we need to take in CO and what are the laws? We need help quickly....she's not home tonight. Please help.

Does she have a job that earns enough money to pay for an apartment (without a roommate) and to fully support herself? If not, you can forget the idea of emancipation.

The better option would be to get control of your child instead of the other way arround. Family counseling may be a viable option. If she didn't come home tonite...then reporting her as a runaway and letting her deal with the consequences of that may also be the appropriate thing to do.
