I am 15 years old. I live in Minnesota. My home life is not what you would call "good".
My parents are on drugs and my mom could care less about anyone other than herself. I have 4 sisters and my stepdad has tried something sexual with everyone of them. He has done this to me once. I need to know anything anyone has to offer about me becoming emancipated. I have a place to go already with my sister who lives in Missouri.

Please help me as much as you can. Thank you.

My response:

You are too young for emancipation, and also, at age 15, you would never be able to prove to a court that you could "take care of all of your necessities of life" on your own at such age; e.g., you're too young to get a job, or at least one that would pay for housing, food, clothing, etc.

Your sister, if she is financially able, would be your best bet to file a Petition for custody of you and your sisters in a court where you currently live.

In the meantime, you could contact Child Protective Services and inform them of the grave situation you find yourself. However, be aware, that if the facts are as you say, you and your sisters may be pulled from your home and placed in foster care.

Contact your older sister.
