What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia

I turned sixteen in March. I recently auditioned for a job as a dancer, and I just found out I got it. I'll have to drop out of school to pursue this career. My parents do not support this endeavor, and they will not allow me to take the job. I worked really hard for this and I don't want to wait another two years.

I have about $4,000 saved up. My new job will supply accommodations, so I won't have to pay rent or anything. I'm supposed to start in August, and my starting salary will be $10-12/hr.

Do you think a judge will grant me emancipation?

Agreed. Georgia has recently tightened up on their emancipation laws so that it is now virtually impossible for a minor to be emancipated outside of lawful marriage or enlistment in the active armed forces, for both of which you need parental permission.

Not to mention the fact that NO state will emancipate a minor in order to take a job for which they will have to drop out of school.
