Alabama.

I am a 17 year old female from Alabama. I live with my mother and step-father. My step-brother who is 19 just moved to Tennessee with his cousin. He wrote me saying that he was sorry he left me it was a decision he had to make - he couldn't handle living in this house any longer. I told him I understood.
There is ALWAYS fist fighting and arguing going on at home.
Every time my mom and I argue.. she tells me I'm killing her just like I killed my dad. [he was 300lbs & had high blood pressure.. I was locked up & she says that I put too much stress on him & its my fault he died] Her husband has called me a Slut. I feel emotionally abused in my home. I'm sick of putting up with living here. Mom always tells me she can't stand to be around me.. & that I'm not going to be anything in life. Anyways, I would like to get emancipated.. Mom said she would pay for my emancipation out of a check I get monthly. She told me once I get emancipated I can pack my things and get out of her house and never ask her for help or for ANYTHING.
How should I go about getting emancipated & does anyone know the laws for this in Alabama? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
