Okahoma,Has anyone ever applied for a emergncy visa?? What type of visa is used for emrgency.

2. Can a tourist visa be requsted to travel to USA from Algeria my fiance lives in Algeria I am not able to travel to Algeria due to a hardship it will cause on myself and family. My fiance must travel to United States for permission to marry from my father.

Anyone know's what we would need to do to accompish this type of visa. What would I need to do here in the United States and what would my Fiance would need to do in the Algeria for us to be able to accomplish this type of visit.Once we have my fathers permission we will plan the wedding and marry. And then apply for permanent resiedance for my fiance to continue as my husband in the USA.

We met in The united States in december 04 he returned to his country and we have continued our relationship. My farther Sticks to our religion and it would cause extreme hardship if I were to go to my fiance and it is tradition that he ask permission from my father.

Please help with any advice you can giveWhat is the name of your state?

He would either need a tourist visa and have to return home before it expires. Or, if he is coming here to marry you and live here, he needs a K1 fiance visa.
Check uscis.gov for forms and info.

You still qualify to petition him for a fiance visa (must have met in person within the past two years) so you should do so. A tourist visa is a pipe dream--then again, it only costs $100 or so to apply, but he can NOT move here on that visa.
Maybe he can call your dad on the phone to propose.

You need to prepare yourself for a long wait. I appreciate AHA's suggestion, but I think you'll find that Algeria is a country that will take longer than, say, Canada.I highly recommend that you visit visajourney.com--there is a great community of ME/NA folks there dealing with the particular issues they face. You can get a better idea of timelines there. Basically, I think you are looking at a year.
