You could also move to somewhere safer with fewer SWAT incidents and / or where you can't be blocked in.
No matter how safe the area, medical emergencies and things of that nature are still going to happen.

ironically, it's normally a very nice neighborhood ^^ some of the neighboring houses are mansions worth 2 million dollars (Los Angeles superinflated prices).

we seem to get a few black sheep once a while. the new neighbor has been running an AirBnB and her guests seem to have troubles with the law. After the latest incident I reported it to the town hall. they said they'll send a code inspector...hopefully they close their business as it's coded as a residential area.
