Emergency room bills - Help???

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Illinois.

Blue Cross / Blue Shield is my provider.

I got a couple of bills from Sherman Hospital regarding two emergency room visits in January this year.

One was for $63 and the other for $75. I had not paid the bills as of yet because I was paying for the MRI and was still waiting for EoB from my insurance provider. I confirmed the bills are valid and I intend to pay them.

Anyway, they sent it to collections. I have since paid the $63 to the collection agency (MRSI - Medical Recovery Specialists or something).

I haven't gotten one from the $75 one but expect to. I'm curious how medical bills are accounted for on a credit history and if this is going to reflect badly on me.
