What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oklahoma
My company which is private says it will not reimburse employees for their employee owned stocked if they leave to work for a competitor. I purchased some of the stock directly and some of the stock was given in lieu of bonus. All employees were required to sign a statement that they will comply with the company handbook which includes the non-compete agreement. The non-compete agreement does not specifcally state any ramifications if an employee leaves to work for a competitor just that they can't for 2 years. Can they legally keep my stock.
