TEXAS.. i have paid into Short term dis. since 1998. i had surgery 10/4/01 and am still out. when i contacted my HR dept. they told me the policy changed on 10/1/01.. i had to be out 18 days before the STD kicked in.. the policy i have been paying for was 8 days before kicking in.
do i have any recourse?also. my LEAD. told me to sign the acceptance for the new policy on 10/3/01.. without reading the policy handbook.
any help?
