Employer chaning hours/child care issues

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Wisconsin

My employer wants to change my hours. I was originally hired to do first shift on weekends, and 2nd shift during the week. I was OK with that. Now my employer wants to change my schedule, and move me to 3rd shift. The problem is my wife works 3rd shift, and I am unable to leave my 9 year old daughter home alone at night. Overnight daycare in my area does not exist, and I am unable to find child care from Midnight to 6 AM. Also I think it isn't right for me to send my daughter on somewhere at 10:30 PM, and not pick her up until 6:30 AM on a school night.. I offered to change departments, and work for less pay so I am able to work another shift.. The company has no openings to transfer me to another department.

This isn't anything against me, it is because my position is fixing, and installing equipment. The company is requesting repairing, and fixing things should be done during off hours. If I am forced to leave, would I be able to collect unemployment? Hopefully I am able to find another job before these hours change.

Don't quit, or you will have 0 chance of collecting UI benefits. If they fire you, your chance of collecting benefits will increase somewhat dramatically.
