We are a 1 yr old Co. In Gallatin TN. Our former office manager embezzled 15,000.00 from our cmpany through forgery. She has signed a confesion with us and has admitted guilt to the arresting detective. We are going to the restotution trial 11-14-00. Should we go to this trial with lawyer or wait to see the outcome of the trial and get a lawyer of we do not get the results we want from the trial? She is claiming to the DA and the detective that she is gog to pay back the money but because ofher embezzlement we haveaquired late charges, interest, accountant fees and labor fees to straignten her mess out. Can we get these fees from her too?

Thank You in advance for your advice.

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

Get a lawyer to get all of these collateral charges back, too. Not only that, but in many states, such malicious intentional criminal activity opens the way for you to get punitive damages AND attorneys fees.

So, your best bet, make sure all bases are covered and get a white collar crime/corporate attorney.
