What is the name of your state? I live in North Carolina. My wife works for a large retailer who holds their employees to sales quotas. If a salesperson works with a customer who does not make the purchase at that time, the person who originally worked with the customer gets credit for the sale when customer returns. But , the way the person who gets the credit is shocking. The current salesperson calls a member of management who then gives the salesperson the other salespersons' Social Security # to punch in the register. Recently, 2 employees were arrested for theft of money from cash registers and issuing fraudulent gift cards using other employees SSN's which were given to them by management. My wife's SSN was one of the ones used. She has been assured that the company knows she had nothing to do with the crimes. The company gave out SSN's to unauthorized individuals. What recourse, if any, does my wife have against the company, and can she also press charges against the criminal employees?

Q: What recourse, if any, does my wife have against the company, and can she also press charges against the criminal employees?

A: What is the dollar amount of the direct damages your wife suffered? What crimes were committed against your wife by the criminal employees (other than, of course, identity theft).
