I was terminated from my employer on February 2, 2001. My health insurance coverage must continue through February 28, 2001. Can my employer bill me for the premium he paid on my behalf prior to my termination. This is in the state of Virginia and now I am receiving bills in the mail from my employer for the February premium with threats of legal action if I do not pay. Is this legal??

Did you want the insurance or did you ask them to drop it? If the former, then pay. If the latter complain to the firm that you do not want it and told them and also to the VA Labor and Employment Department.
