Situation: Resume was emailed to 2 people at a local bank. One is the HR Manager, the other is the Manager in the area needing help.
What happened is the Manager for the area - either not knowing or knowing, emailed her response to the resume to the prospective employee and NOT the HR manager. The email was VERY defamatory against the person attempting to get a job there. Untrue statements were made and it was in all very upsetting and very very unprofessional. Not knowing how many people have seen this response, the reputation of this person could have been severly damaged by these statements. (The Manager has NEVER before interviewed this person or talked to this person) is there any chance of going after the Manager & company for Libel and Defamation of Character? Not mention any EEOC laws?
