Just a quick question if anyone knows: If your employer is demanding that miss class (college) for a training/education (work related) event-are they able to do this and write you up should you not attend their class?

Write you up? They can fire you, then neither one of you have to deal with it anymore.

A company has absolutely no legal obligation to cater to your school schedule.

Yes, they can demand that you miss class for a work related training class (or any other work event).

Yes, they can write you up if you miss the work class or event.

Plain and simple.
