A family member is at risk of losing their current job and their employer is telling them that due to the fact that they receive an apartment as part of their salary that if they are terminated from their job they can and will give them a 24 hour notice to vacate the premises. This is in the state of Oregon. The employer has said thet for the past three years they have had no problems with them as a tenant or their performance it's a personality issue only. My family member is extremely distressed over all of this. Does the landlord/employer have the right to give a 24 hour notice to vacate if their employment is terminated?

No but check with your State Consumer Protection Office to see what the acceptable time period is. L may have to give 30 days notice.
