Energy Credits - Calling Taxing Matters

Have you ever heard of a silicon roof being eligible for an energy tax credit? This guy was sold a very expensive roof on the basis that it was eligible for an energy tax credit and I am having trouble finding anything that references anything like that at all. I am not askin you to do the research for me, just to point me in a direction if you have heard of anything with regard to silicon roofs.
