If a water pump was just changed within 6months by a mechanic and causes a complete engine failure, is anyone liable? the mechanic or the manufacturer of the part?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

You look at the manufactures warranty , for the part .

You look at the repair shop's receipt , or policy for warranty on the part and/or labor .

Notice , I stated the part , ( water pump ) .
