What is the name of your state? michigan

I live on MSU campus, and the cops are constantly searching for a new way to stop underage drinking. The are now entering parties undercover and asking for a beer or cup or what ever it may be, and if you sell to them you will be prosecuted for distrubuting to minors among other charges. I was wondering if it was legal for a ploice officer to enter your house uninvited. I was also wondering if it is legal for a cop to tell you "no" if you ask him\her if they are a law enforcment officer

Yep and Yep. Sorry, but if you don't want to get caught, stop letting minors into your party.

Of course, that decision will be made for you the first time you sell, give or other allow a minor to drink at one of your parties, that minor walks back to their dorm, stumbles on the curb, falls into the path of a passing car and dies.

Then you'll never have to worry about the police again. Just finding a reason why you're behind bars for negligent homicide.

Obviously you are allowing anyone into the party, so I don't see a problem, why shouldn't the officer walk right in.

The officer can lie to you, just like the minor who tells you they can legally drink.

Gee, the cops are constantly searching for a new way to stop underage drinking. Hmmmmmm...........good!

Not even if you open a legally licensed bar. The only way for you to be safe from serving minors is to stop serving minors.

And even if the police do not raid your party, my situation still stands. You could lose everything .

Of course, you send out invitations to legal age drinkers and then check identification at the door.

Don't let anyone in that doesn't have an invitation and proper I.D. to verify their age. Also make sure your guests don't have too much to drink when they are ready to go. (re-read Breezies post)

If you have a party you have to do it legally and responsibly. If you choose not to then expect to pay the consequences.
