Estimated Repair Vs Actual Repair

What is the name of your state? Virginia
Had a fire and the carrier had a company come out & estimate the demo of our burned bldg., then they wrote a check for that amount. I found a local junk Dealer willing to remove everything for approx 10% of the carriers estimate. Am I required to return the difference?
