My roomate and I signed a 1 year lease in july of this year. Prior to us moving in together I made it very clear to her that no one else was to move in to the house besides her and I. When we signed the lease the landlord also made it very clear that no one else was allowed to live there and if we did move someone else in he had the right to raise the rent 250.00. Our rent is 1000.00 already so i can not afford anymore and neither can she. The problem is she moved her boyfriend in 3 months ago and refuses to have him leave. I spoke to her many times and asked her why she agreed not to have him live here then move him in behind my back. She said its not a big deal. I told her i didnt want problems with the landlord and she doesnt care. I even told her that i would agree to have him stay if we split our rent 3 ways since its her, him and her daughter, she refuses. At this point i just want her to leave. My landlord will just raise our rent if i go to him and i dont want that i just want them gone. I dont want to be evicted because she cant pay her share. Is there anyway I can have her move legally? Is there anyway I can have the landlord evict just her and not me? I already have someone who can take her place in paying the rent. I cannot live in this situation for another
7 months please help!:(

#1 what is a lease for? For you to read it, that what.

#2 The landlord cannot raise YOUR rent for the extra person during the lease... unless it is written in the lease.

#3 UNLESS the lease states only 2 people can occupy the apartment, the landlord cannot evict you either since you have NOT broken the lease.

#4 so this could be a civil matter between you and the roomate,
