I currently rent an apt. in Pennsylvania and I was told by the landlord that they are going to take me to court to evict me because I have a pet which violates the no-pet clause in my lease. They also informed me that they are going to accelerate my lease. I will have to pay all future rent that I would have owed for the remainder of my lease. There is an acceleration clause in my lease but some people (not lawyers) have said that it may not be legal to evict someone from their apartment and make them pay future rent. I would like to know if that is true? Thanks.
