Eviction for owner to sell house

I have been renting my current residence now for 5 years. My lawnlord 3 days ago handed me a 30 day eviction notice to get out so that they can do the normal repairs that they should have been doing for the last 5 years and have not. The house has not been painted for the entire time that I have been there and was in need of it when I moved in. Sinks dont work, the tub has plastic taped to it cause I had to replace the piping cause it was leaking horribly. I have asked him 3 times in the last 3 months on these issues before the notice and he said he would need his father to look at them first, which he never has.
My biggest concern is can he evict us in 30 days in order to put the house on the market. I pay month to month, with no written rental agreement. Do i have longer? Is liable to help me find a place?

Without a lease all you get is the 30 day notice, and no the landlord is not responsible for helping you to find a new place. Start looking for a new place right away, & in the meantime pack.

Darkmorpheus, just take the advice from JLW1000 and ignore
"rentertoo", his sole purpose on the site is to spout off, offer no solution and generally be a rude pain in the ass. Good luck, too bad we are all not as wise as rentertoo, what a perfect world it would be.

Its just no body has ever taught you the basics of life and you learn about it this way rather then

By using this thingy called a computer and learning your rights and responsibilities as a renter.

People waste hours on this thingy paying games, chatting on instant messanger, and posting on garbage movie star bulletin boards...

Its just too bad you cant spend an hour or two to educate yourself BEFORE you do something stupid about your living situation.
