What is the name of your state? Massachusetts

Hello.
I really need some advice here, as I am at a loss.
I have lived in a condominium for the past 5 years or so. My mother mortgaged it in her name, and she rents it to me.
Anyway, recently we've had some money issues, the car keeps breaking down, and my BF Shaun had pheumonia twice in 2 months.
So last week my mom called and said "I want my money in 24 hours or I'm going to evict you" So, even tho Shuan gets paid Bi/weekly and we didn't have the money yet, we wrote her a check because we have overdraft protection and knew the bank would cover it till he got paid.
So, we contacted the bank, who said the check cleared and she had her money...so we decided to use the next check to fix the car once and for all so we could trade it in for another one and get a higher rate for trade in.
Today I got an email from her asking when Shauns next day off was because she wanted to talk to us.
I called her and told her that he doesn't have a day off till maybe Tuesday, and asked her what she wanted.
She said. "I need to sit down and talk to you and Shaun, and I'm not going to tell you what it's about till then."
So now I'm just sitting here making myself crazy...my mom refuses to tell me what she wants, but the truth is she could sell the condo right out from under me, since it's hers.
Shaun and I are doing everything we can to make ends meet, but with the car and my mom, we're fighting an uphill battle.
We have no savings because it all went to the car, and I don't want to move because very few places if any will allow animals.

I never signed a lease, because..well...she's my mother, I didn't think she would do this to me.
Can she just toss me out because we never had a lease? She's making me soo nervous, I've been homeless before. and I'm not looking for a repeat performance.
I'm on disabilty, so saving to get another apartment is going to take longer than normal, as I only get one check each month.

Help!

She can evict you, but not immediately. She'll have to follow the appropriate procedures in your state.

Start saving and give your mom a date when you will out. If you end up with an actual eviction on your record it will be much more difficult to obtain housing. Your mom deserves to have a tenant who pays her on time, because she has that mortgage and other bills to pay.
