Michigan. We are renting a town house which we have done for over 12 years. Our land decided to go month to month and not sign a lease. We were told on March 2nd that the property had been sold and that new owners were taking possession and we had to be out by March 31st. My husband had a heart attack and three strokes and we were never given any warning the property was for sale. The person has been in nogitation for 8 months to get this deal. We were never asked if we could buy the proerty and if we were told that the proerpty would be sold in 8 months at that time my husband did not have a heart attack and could help. He only has a 39 percent ejjection fraction and can not walk because of balance issue and has a noticed statement from his doctor that he needs at least 60 days to move. He is 69 and I will be 59 in April. Is there anything we can do about this because I call this unethical business practice. The buyers had been working for deal for 8 months but were give a gag order that they could not tell the current renter.
