eviction/reasonable amount of time?

Here goes.... I moved into the rental property in Jan.when I moved in the lease that was signed does not include my name (because I moved from GA and was not here and I was moving back with my ex-husband)it only has his name on it. Although it does have the number of people in the house and I am included along with my three children. This is the problem my ex has dicided to leave us high and dry with no way of paying the rent or household bills, I am not working because I was taking some time off to be a homemaker. Therfore there is no income yet getting a job is just a matter of time. But the land lord has given me a notice to leave the premises I have 3 days to get out before she states that she will take an evicton notice legal acton agaist me. I am in the mean time trying to get the money together to get the rent taken care of but in reading other info I see it says that she has to provide reasonable amount of time,in general how long is this? The rent was due on the 1st and I only owe for april, and I have a deposit, does this apply? What should I be taking into concideration can she come and kick me out because my name is technically is not on the lease? How long does it take for the formal court process to take action? Do I have any legal rights? I am really wondering how is a reasonable amount of time determined? The state and city I live in is OH, North Ridgeville

this may be tricky, she can file formal eviction in court then you have t be served with the papers the n you have to respond, and a court date is set it could be 2 3 4 weeks...visit the court and ask for the appoximate timetable, it depens on how busy they are..

Also you really show contact a lawyer, becuase here in New york city YOU can be evicted, but since you name is not on the lease, the landlord cannot sue you for any of the rent money only the lease holder can be sued.

And eviction is up to the judge, in your case since you would not be liable for the rent it probably would be fast less then 10 days for a marshall to move you out. If you would be liable for the rent a judge would take into consideration and your kids and maybe give you 2 or 3 months.

But laws and customs vary widely.
