What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?Oregon

One of my neighbors is getting evicted. The landlord had the front door removed and possibly the utilities turned off (I'm guessing becausr the water was turned off at my house by accident). Is this legal in Oregon? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Assuming this is a RESIDENTIAL lease, neither of those 'tactics' are legal.

Not your business though, unless your neighbor asks you to testify as a witness when he sues the crap out of the slumlord you pay rent to.

Then OP can deal with having a deadbeat tenant and all the good things that a deadbeat brings to the neighborhood.;)

OP is not the landlord.

Yes, tenants should pay rent. If they don't, there are LEGAL ways to get them evicted, and illegal ways. If a landlord breaks the law, they should have to pay for it. Through the nose.
