What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
We are party to an unlawful detainer action. We went to court on June 19th and lost. We were told by the judge that we had about 10-14 days until the sheriff locks us out. I have 6 kids and ALOT of things to pack and obviously the more days the better. I was told by a woman at the sheriff department that they will post a 5 day to vacate notice on the door before the lockout will occur.....i was wondering if in Riverside County Ca this is true?

Yep...5 days if very generous. Here in NY, the sheriff will only give you 48 hours before they boot your and your belongs to the curb.
