I LIVE IN OHIO AND WE HAVE BEEN IN THIS APT FOR OVER 4 YRS AND WE HAD A MIX UP IN CHECKS TO PAY LANDLORD. WE DID PAY IT LATE WITH LATE FEES. SHE THEN CALLED MY WIFE WHO IS MANIC DEPRESSIVE AND YELLED HER TO TEARS. TELLING HER THAT SHE WANTS US TO MOVE. OUR LEASE HAS BEEN UP FOR OVER 3 YRS,SHE HAS NEVER RAISED THE RENT OR HAD ANYTHING FIXED TO A PERMANENT FIX. NOW MY TELLS HER THAT IF SHE WANTS US TO MOVE THAN WE WOULD NEED TO HOLD BACK THE RENT FOR THE NEXT MONTH. THEN TWO DAYS AFTER THE RENT WAS DUE, THE MANAGER CAME OVER TO TELL US THAT IF WE DIDN'T HAVE THE RENT THE NEXT DAY THAT THE LANDLORD WAS GOING TO FILE THE EVICTION NOTICE. WE GOT IT LESS THAN A WEEK LATER LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AFTER RENT WAS DUE WE RECEIVED THE EVICTION. I HAVE HEARD THAT WE HAVE TO BE AT LEAST A MONTH BEHIND TO BE EVICTED IS THIS TRUE, IF SO THAN WE SHOULD HAVE CASE ON MULTIPLE GROUNDS

NO its whatever is in your lease, so without a lease they have to give you a 30 day notice to move...

I guess the landlord wants to get more money...

You have too go to court on your court date and explain it to a judge,
