EX. and Alimony

My Ex. is paying me alimony. We were married over 30 years, I was a stay a home mom ,I never worked out side the home. I had a stroke a year before we broke up. I Went thru allot the last two years, I am still trying to get my life back. It's been really hard for me. I don't think I ever want to marry again. The court ordered him to pay me alimony until I die or re-marry to old for that. Kids would not like it anyway. I have been getting it a year now. Every month he threating me about the money. I get scared at time's that he will stop paying me. I need it to servive on. He wants to take me back to court now. We agree on a amount for him to pay me not the mount that he was too pay . We setteled out of court for the amount. Can he take it from me?????? I could use more Money my self. I didn't realise that the cost of living was so high. I never paid a bill in my life he would never let me. I am still learning today. We lived out of town so we didn't have any one over... Now that he has know girl friend he's been calling and bothering us. My Ex is mad that I have a room mate now.Some one to talk to and she know more then I about things. She's on a fix income too. So we help each other out. He told me I can not have a room mate is that true????? She said that I can , but would like to know for sure? As old as I am I feel really stuped about asking...... I NEED TO KNOW.

Since you didn't write the exact words of your spousal support order in your post, I can't answer your question. However, in the absence of limiting language like, "Spousal Support shall not be modifiable or terminable", then your support is always subject to modification or termination - - depending upon whether there's been a legally cognizable "change in circumstances."
