IF there is zero money in the pot and somebody can jawbone $5000 out of another to release a claim to a share of the pot then that person is the sharpest knife in the box.

OP needs to step back and allow this ship to sink?
If the ex boyfriend realizes that there is no money to get, and believes that his credit could be impacted if there is a foreclosure, then the ex boyfriend might be more motivated to sign.

NO,if he is smart enough to induce others to pay him $XXX to give up a claim to an empty pot ...then he qualifies for the smartest knife in the drawer award ....the idiot awards are pretty easy to sort out .
