Daughter lives with her father in Birmingham, AL.. The last order pertaining to custody was issued in Clinton, TN.
you don't take your kids to work with you, do you? Well neither did or would I. After I lost my job in 1997, I was left in a difficult situation. Nowhere to live and no stable source of income and had just enrolled my 5 yr. old daughter in school. My brother and sister-in-law, supposedly out of the kindness of their hearts, offered to take my little girl into their home "until I could get back on my feet". Under MUCH stress from them and other family members, I agreed ONLY IF they would never try to challenge my custody. My sis-in-law said, " of course not, She needs her mother" and so, for lack of other options, I agreed. When I had gotten back on my feet, via an Internet business, and it was time for my daughter to come home, just before school was out, I was served with papers containing some of the most OUTRAGEOUS accusations imaginable. Well, now, it's been years of litigation in a court where the judge was personal friends with my sister-in-law's family (this is a very small town)and I have NO visitation with my daughter at all.
After losing my job,and feeling quite desperate, I put my "dominant" attitude to work for me via the internet and became a "Professional Dominatrix" charging from $100 to $200/ hour for "discipline sessions" with consenting adults. NEVER was there any sexual intercourse involved. NEVER was my daughter exposed to or aware of what my internet business consisted of, she was just happy that mommy had a job that allowed her the free time to be with her, when, that is, I was allowed to be with her at all. This "job" enabled me to pay for the legal assistance this type of case involves, and over the past several years, i have spent upwards of $30,000 on legal representation, fees, support etc. but, to no avail. Until last July, after the final hearing in which my daughter's father was awarded custody (because he lied and said, "yeah, I expect to make $40,000 this year in my new business, and without even asking for some sort of proof, she believed him), (since then, he's had at LEAST 5 different jobs) My occupation was listed as "Internet Consultant" which, was true, in addition to the Domination thing. My ex sister-in-law, somehow gained knowledge of my "job" and immediately sent this info via. CD rom to my ex-husband. He called me on the phone, calling me everything but a human being and told me he'd leave the country before I'd be allowed to see our daughter EVER again.
I guess the long and short of it is, I made a mistake in career choices, but it was a choice that allowed me to fight the "good fight" in court. Since, I have COMPLETELY alienated myself from that lifestyle and profession, and now run a small entertainment company in TN. My father is dying of cancer and after his death (sadly, my only glimmer of hope) I will once again be able to afford legal representation and petition for a change in custody.
ANY advice on this matter would be GREATLY appreciated. My daughter is the LIGHT of My life and I am an emotional wreck in my current situation.
