What is the name of your state? North Carolina

I recently quit my job during my probationary period without giving any notice. I have not yet received my last paycheck. Can my ex-boss hold my check because I did not give notice? or for any other reason?

How long ago did you quit? Your employer may hold your check until the next regular payday after you ended employment. After that, he MUST release it, regardless of any reason. If he fails to do so, you can file a complaint with the NC DOL.
