My husband's old employer in Colorado called him one week ago and said they over paid him $750.00 August of 1999. We show no records of this and they are demanding we reimburse them. They have not sent us anything in writing, including proof of their claim. My husband works for a different company now, but his present company deals with the old one. He is over there on a continual basis. Over the past week whenever he is over there the accounting department threatens him. He says he justs wants to pay them so they'll stop harrassing him, even though we don't have the money. Even if they did overpay him is there some sort of statute of limitations? Why are they just noticing now? I really appreciate your help. Thank you

tell them to prove it.......to show you copy of the cancelled check, that he was not entitled to.
