What is the name of your state?What is the name of your state?AL
I lived in KY and worked at a bank for 4 years. I have not been there for 1 year. I have just filed for bankruptcy (on them also) and have found out that a person who works there is telling everyone I have filed. She did this before I actually did it. This is not someone I told myself!! And also, she told these people before I actually did it. I asume she found out from the loan officer I told this too. Is there anything I can do about this?

Not really. No one has said anything untrue. You haven't suffered any damages because of what they've said. And even if you had, what was said is the truth. So what's to do?

Q: Is there anything I can do about this?

A: Ask them to stop telling the truth about you.

let me repharse the question

This is breach of confinditility! I know this cause I was a loan processor at this bank and in no way were you to speak about ANY customer to anyone that is NOT in your dept... And yes it was not true when it was told. I did not file till a month later.

It may indeed be a breach of confidentiality. But that is an internal company matter, not a legal matter.

once you file for BK it becomes public knowledge anyway. did you have to tell anyone at your job that you were filing?
