What is the name of your state? Alabama

Ok i have a myspace account and created a group about my ex who told all of her friends lies that i did hardcore drugs and it really made alot of people think that i was on these drugs. No i made a group saying that she was a "bitch" and that she was spreading all these fake rumors about me. It was more less an emotional outburst i guess and i later took it down. All that was said that she was a "bitch" and that she was falsely accusing me of this stuff. Later her sister told me that her family was going to sue me for libel. Can she really sue me for stating that she was a bitch and falsely accusing me of drug usage. Also if they can sue, could i not counter sue for her spreading rumors about me at my old high school...

Tsk, tsk ...

Proving slander (spoken defamation) is a lot harder than proving libel (written defamation). If the ex saved any of the deleted page, then she has her proof; however, your proof is only hearsay.

So I think it would be safe to say that you don't have a case. Sorry.

So she can sucessfully sue me for that? I mean i know it was immature to call her that name and everything but is that means to sue me, because i was simply stating my opinion? Also, if I was to bring the people who told me that to court could i make a case of that?

You need not worry, especially if she is a bitch. In any case it's your opinion of her which for the most part is protected speech. She'll most likely do nothing unless she's got a lot of money and time to waste.

You are way off base. If all he wrote was what he stated, she has no case.
