Ex Got His Orders

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

What a surprise this morning, my ex got his orders to the East Coast. Knowing how much he wanted out of California, I was pretty much counting on him getting orders that are closer to where his new wife lives. He emailed me this morning, We need to talk, orders are in and they are to the East Coast.
For those who have read what I've been dealing with in the past; He has told me that he is not going to pursue trying for custody (this was before he got orders) and has been seeing the kids a bit more. I had to call him out on his relationship with his oldest son, he did not think that he had done as much emotional damage to him. I more or less told him that he was the only one who could repair the reltionship, an 11 yo is not going to. I encouraged my ex to pick up the phone and at least start talking to the child.
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a Parenting Plan or any websites that are good for this kind of thing. The kids are 4, 7, 9 and 11. Obviously the 4 yo cannot fly by herself, the other 3 have all flown by themselves. Any ideas and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How soon before child turns 5? How long before 11 turns 12?

Oh - I love SWA for my daughter who goes back and forth (no charge for unaccompanied minor.)

Oh, and get something set up for "virtual" parenting time - specific time for webcam access for children and the other parent.

I just found out that his orders are to a unit that have to be available to deploy in 48 hours. Would it be reasonable to ask him to come to my state to visit when he is in that status? At least if he was on leave he could be guranteed time spent with the kids.

He may not be able to travel more than 500 miles in that state. I know that my son could go outside that geographic range.

I would have a plan in place if/when the children travel in the event of a deployment.
