What is the name of your state? Florida

My ex picked up our child over a week ago after my visit with her and I have not heard from them since. I tried calling the home phone and it was disconnected. I tried calling the cell and the voicemail picked up every time.
I've left emails but have gotten no replies.
I am the NCP and have liberal visitation rights with shared parental responsibility. Is there not a law that states the CP has to notify the NCP of any moves within a certain time frame in the state of Fl? :(

My ex indicated to my child that they were going to have to move before the end of July because of certain changes in their living arrangements. My child told me that she didnt think they would move but was unsure. Now I have not heard from her for over a week and that is not like her at all. She usually calls me every other day - or used to...

And when the child said this to you did you discuss this with your ex?

My ex has stopped all communication over a year ago with me, using our child to communicate through. No calls, no emails - he does not speak to me.

As I type this my father just called and said he heard from my child and she said she was ok and has moved but doesnt know exactly where other than its a "long time" to get there... what can I do?

You could file for contempt but she has to have actually violated some part of the custody order. Does the custody order give any set visitation guidelines? What about moves, does it state you must notify the other party of current address/phone #? or notify at least x# of days before you move?

The original paperwork indicates "liberal" visitation for me and shared parental responsibility. There was no schedule set in place. I am in the process of filing for mediation to have a schedule set in place but until then I have nothing other than the generic words of the original paperwork from our divorce eight years ago.

no language

There is no definate language in the paperwork other than to notify the courts of a change of address within a certain period of time... what can I do?

Check ALL of the court order- almost all family court orders in Florida have a provision in them concerning the parties keeping THE COURT informed of thier current addresses. Check with the court clerk (both the civil and child support divisions) to see if an address change was filed. (also check the file yourself at the courthouse- it is public record) If one hasn't been, then you can file a contempt motion.
Good luck
