I'm just asking questions for friends. My divorce was friendly. Never had to step a foot in court. Sadly, I've got friends dealing with liars. So my questions are general and for them.
Have the friends join and ask their own questions. You posted both times in the "first party". We don't like liars.

I still don't believe you - the fact pattern between the two is way too similar for it to be different matters.

IF CS is based largely on gross income with some adjustments then lying about rent expenses may not have a major impact on the CS math...but I would think that for EX to be caught in lies would put all his or her credibility into question.

And paying " rent" to a family member is a open invitation for credibility gaps

Far better per forum rules for person involved to ask own questions!
